Alaskan Fishing

If you’ve ever found yourself on the fence about whether you should bite the bullet and take an Alaskan fishing trip, this video may tip you to the side of taking that trip as soon as you can. From the first-person shots in this video, Alaskan fishing looks absolutely incredible. Think about it – nearly no development, nothing but the river and the clear water and the fresh air. Fishing spots so remote that you need a seaplane to reach them. I can’t even imagine how awesome it would be to spend a week or so on an Alaskan fishing trip and just completely forget about all of life’s hassles for a little while. And there’s a ton to explore during an Alaskan fishing adventure. According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Alaska is home to 3,000 rivers, 3 MILLION lakes, and 6,640 miles of coastline. To fish all of what Alaska has to offer would require a fisherman to cast across 1 million square acres of streams, lakes, and shorelines every single day for a whole year. That’s a tall order, but I think I’d be alright settling for just fishing a few productive Alaskan lakes and rivers for a week or two a couple of times a year. Watch the video of Alaskan fishing below, which was created to showcase how a GoPro camera can help capture all the fishing action. If you like the video, ‘Share’ it.
