When was the last time you caught 120 fish in one day of fishing? Even split three ways between the fishermen in this video, that’s still 40 fish each. Not a bad day of fishing at all. Sure, none of these fish are all that humongous, but it certainly beats sitting out there fishing all day and not catching anything. In a lot of ways, a fisherman’s impression of these three’s fishing day comes down to personal preference. I know some guys who would rather spend 10 hours out on the lake and only catch one big fish, and I know other guys who would rather reel in a ton of smaller fish than spend all that time out there not getting a bite. Personally, I’m torn between the two. When I set out fishing in the morning, I usually have one big catch in mind. After a couple hours of catching nothing though, my preference changes quite dramatically. The way I look at it, if you’re catching a bunch of small fish, at least you can practice your fishing technique, things like setting your hook and getting the right action out of your lure. Plus, if you’ve got kids fishing with you, they’re gonna like catching a whole bunch of small fish a lot more than that one huge monster.
This fishing video was filmed over Thanksgiving 2013 out on the St. Marks River in Florida. As you can see, it was freezing cold, but the fish were biting.
